Building Energy Analysis
Building energy simulations allow to make estimations on both the building energy consumption, and the potential local energy production through renewable resources. These simulations are based on the creation of a geometrical 3D model of the building and on the definition of a set of parameters ranging from the local climate to the proprieties of the envisioned construction materials. Based on this models, mathematical and physical simulations allow the estimate of the building performance in terms of heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, electricity, and water use. This allows to easily assess and compare different design variants, and take decisions in a better and more informed way.
